Is Health Care Reform Dead?

It seems like only yesterday that Obama  administration scared the dickens out of the fifteen people left in our country who are genuinely satisfied with our current health care system by pledging to pass a major overhaul bill. Now, after months of hoopla which you readers are already duly familiar with, those people may be able to rest easy.
At a DNC fundraiser Thursday night, Obama appeared to admit the reasonable possibility of congress shooting down the bill democrats have been trying to rush through the legislature at a breakneck speed of zero MPH. He explained that it would be up to the American people to express their level of satisfaction with the potential kibosh on reform in the upcoming election.
HCO believes that what we should take away from Obama’s cryptic message is this: yes, he has been rendered powerless by an increasingly dysfunctional congress, and thinks it would be really great if the American people would be kind enough to give him a hand and get some fresh blood in there, and maybe cut into the formidable republican 41-seat supermajority. The next bill to bite the dust? Wait and see, but our money’s on the financial reform bill. [AP]
